Days with my precious little one
It has been over a month since Tara came into our lives. While the month seems to have flown past, it has brought along a varied set of emotions.
I have been at my creative best thinking of techniques to put her to sleep and play with. I had devised a full proof way to calm her down by gently running around the house humming coo chuk chuk. Only later did I realize I should have come up with something easier as running, talking and carrying a baby simultaneously is no joke at all!
It is indeed an ego booster when she goes to sleep to songs I sing instead of any other form of music on the phone, but this also means carrying her around and singing her favorite song several times a day for several minutes.
I keep thinking of new games daily to quell her boredom. This is more than anything a memory test for me, as I try remembering whatever I have learnt during my school days to come up with something.
Despite all these tiring days, there are priceless memories being created along the way. My heart warms up watching Rohan play, dance with her after work and to see the happiness on all her four grandparents, her Periamma's faces when they hold her.
To enjoy all this though, the must-have for the tired-me is Amma's hot cup of filter coffee at 5 in the morning!
