22 Weeks Completed

This is a combined post for weeks 21 and 22. During week 21, I developed severe pain in my tailbone area and my inner thighs. Sitting during the day and sleeping during the night both became extremely painful. When I had to turn at night, my stomach and legs would hurt so much. Thankfully, I had a scheduled appointment with my Doctor during this period and she told me to join prenatal yoga classes. I have been waiting to get this green signal from her for so long and I was glad I could finally practice yoga. 

I got the contact of my yoga instructor from a building mate. Have had few classes so far and have got immense relief. My husband also bought a pregnancy pillow for me which has given me lot of relief when I sit. I carry this pillow everywhere now!!

What has also been worrying is my weight gain between weeks 18 and 21. I put on 3 kgs in 3 weeks!! The Doctor was shocked seeing the weighing scale and asked me to scale back on my sweet intake. I ate far too many sweets, namkeen, junk food during Diwali and while watching the World Cup matches unfortunately. Have got to be really careful as I now know how much of a difference once diet makes to how healthy one's body is.

As a side note, we hit a personal milestone during this period. We completed 5 yrs of married life. My husband had planned a surprise trip for this occasion and we enjoyed ourselves so much there :)
